Day 26 - Bisbee

To get to Bisbee you must pass Benson.

The Market Cafe is a litle Bisbee treasure. Luckily we met up with our friend, Bisbee local, and fellow photographer/gallerist/educator/publisher -Chuck Feil - who knew just the spot for a delicious lunch and chance to catch up. Seven years have passed since we were last in Bisbee.

The County Courthouse in Bisbee.

The little village up and away from the hubub of downtown Bisbee.

A room with a view. Or a view with a room. Can't remember which.

Russ is attracted to the giant fly - pulling him into it's attack zone like a metal ball to a magnet. Fly especially likes red shirts - they match his eyes. The fellow with the little white dog is wondering what all the fuss is about. He never would have noticed the massive insect until it was much too late. Fly also likes little white dogs.

Sometime last year, there was a local contest to see who could grow the biggest flies. It's weird, but nobody ever asked, "Why the hell do we want bigger flies?" until it was too late.

HeckRider and the Cat From Heck scare the heck out of hecklers.

Entries #9, 77 and 153 in the Biggest Fly Contest.

These cowboys have seen it all. Giant flies and gremlins climbing out of planter boxes don't even get a second glance.

Just for Duncan - you'll be adventure travelling well into your 90's with this sweet ride. Lara will need a side car.

The World-Famous Bridge of Sighs. Again. It's sorta like OK corral #62.

We find these blast-doors hidden in an alley behind Main Street. It's pretty clear they've been blasted at some point. It's also pretty clear the blast came from inside, not outside. Just who, or perhaps what, was trying to get out through the blast doors remains cause for speculation. We are investigating.
